we are parked at chabot space and science center where currently, it's 63 degrees. the winds have finally settled down so it's feeling good. joining me i have some future astronomers. and the last time i was joined with this cast and crew here was back in january we were talking about a meteor shower show that really never happened that well because we had a lot of clouds and cold overnight temperatures for viewing. but now we have another meteor shower show that started last night and will be happening through the weekend. so coming up at 6:00, we have a local astronomer from chabot space and science center. he will be telling us what night the meteor shower will peak and what part of the sky you should be looking at. we'll be talking about the weather conditions for that viewing party. spring is in the air so it's going to be a better condition for viewing of the meteor shower. reporting from chabot space and science center with my buddies here the future astronomers, roberta gonzales for mobile weather and kpix 5. >> i don't know, but they're at least star. >> pe

[ laughter ] >> and live doppler 7-hd which has been somewhat busy. it is picking up some rainfall and moisture in the air but a lot of it is not making it to the ground. the rainbow in ukiah and we're getting light rain falling over parts of the coast in the north bay. san francisco had about hundredth of an inch in the last six hours. other reporting stations not getting much rainfall at all. you'll find some light rain over highway 1, marshal, south of tomales bay. low clouds over the golden gate bridge and fog along the coast with some possible drizzle. currently 54 in san francisco, 59 in oakland and 49 in santa cruz. also other parts of the bay area around the 50s as well. we are looking live from the east bay towards treasure island in san francisco so just a lot of grey skies. you can expect for today, spotty showers mainly during the morning hours. mo

you see lake chabot road and up towards piedmont seeing light rain. here what i think will happen, scattered showers. heaviest this morning. it means the rain will be much lighter and less widespread. so for tomorrow and wednesday, there you go, drier and warmer and unsettled thursday, friday and saturday and sunday. we'll have a few weak storms that will bring more rain. you see breaks in the cloud cover and sunshine. that will help energize the storms. low to mid-60s and bayshore. mid to upper 60s inland. at the coast upper 50s to low 60s. tonight everything clears out as far as the wet weather goes but moisture in the eric thomas, tomorrow morning's commute will be dry and will be foggy. mid 40s to around 50 degrees. here a low that is responsible. it is falling apart but just enough energy that will keep showers in through today even hanging around until 5:00. you can see the dry air pushing in and cloud cover for tomorrow morning's commute. once we get past that, check out what happens, we start to see 70s inland for tuesday and wednesday. wednes
